SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. – A former Saskatchewan hockey coach has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting young boys. Ryan Chamberlin, 39, pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of sexual assault and one count of child luring.
Crown prosecutor Steve Kreitzer said six charges were dropped because they were charges on the same actions.
Chamberlin was a hockey coach in several southwest Saskatchewan communities. He had also helped coach a volleyball team at Centennial Elementary School in Swift Current in the fall of 2014.

Sentencing is set for May 6 in Swift Current court and Kreitzer said the Crown will argue for five years in prison.
Chamberlin was charged in February after parents found inappropriate messages from a man to their son.

At the time RCMP asked any other victims to come forward. In March, Chamberlin was additionally charged with two counts of sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference, sexual exploitation, and child luring.
