Surrey RCMP still searching for suspect in hit-and-run that sent man to hospital

WATCH: Surrey RCMP are releasing a significant clue in a hit and run investigation – appealing to the driver to do the right thing. Catherine Urquhart reports.

RCMP are investigating a hit-and-run in Surrey. They say a 85-year-old man was struck near 92 Ave. and 127 St. just after 5 p.m. Monday.

The victim sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital where he is in stable condition.

Investigators are looking for a newer model four-door silver Honda Civic, 2013 to 2015 model. The car is believed to have visible front-end damage on the driver’s side. A single male was also seen in the vehicle.

The car was last seen going westbound on 96A Avenue from 128 Street.

Anyone with information on the hit-and-run is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
