It’s not every day you get to sell a box of cookies to an Oscar-winning actor like Tom Hanks.

A group of Girl Scouts in the San Francisco surburb of Los Altos sold Hanks five boxes when he approached their cookie stand. Hanks posed for pictures with the girls.
“He also told another family ‘you guys can have a picture, but only if you buy cookies from these girls,'” one of the Girl Scouts said.
On top of that, Hanks donated another $20 to the Girl Scout troop.
Hanks was in the area visiting his son, who attends university nearby.
