Residents of the City of Warman, Dalmeny, Hepburn and Hague are being asked to boil their water as it may be coming from a potentially contaminated line. According to the Water Security Agency, the safety of the City of Warman’s drinking water supply presently cannot be ensured.

The advisory was issued Tuesday at 2 p.m. and will stay in place until further notice, but is expected to last for at least two days. Officials said the contamination is a result of a water main repair and system depressurization of a portion of the SaskWater Saskatoon North Treated supply pipeline distribution system.

As a result, a boil water advisory has been issued for the affected communities to boil all potentially ingested water for at least one minute.

The advisory recommends not using water for washing dishes, brushing teeth, soaking false teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, or for ice cubes.
