LETHBRIDGE – A man has been charged after a stabbing Saturday night.
The altercation happened in the area of 5 Avenue and 5 Street South where police say two men, who knew each other, got in a dispute.
Police allege 31-year-old Barry Joel Soosay slashed a 24-year-old in the face, causing a significant gash. A passerby called 911 and the victim was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Soosay fled the scene, but was arrested Monday without incident.
He is facing charges of aggravated assault, assault, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
