TORONTO – The brutal beating of a female Ohio State trooper on Thursday has many shaking their heads after the incident was caught on camera and posted online.

Antoinette Taylor, 26, of Warrensville Heights was on board a Greyhound bus on its way from Cleveland to Columbus. Passenger Zach Baugh claims that Taylor didn’t appear to be acting normal during the trip.

“She was acting weird and kept getting into people’s faces saying that she hadn’t seen them in a long time but no one knew her.  She was trying to give people hugs and talking about demons,” Baugh told WOIO.

Things got even more awkward when trooper Tressa Winans, according to WBNS, boarded the bus.

“The woman was totally okay, acting like she was fine but when the trooper got on the bus and attempted to talk to her, she punched her in the face with no warning,” Baugh continued.

That punch knocked the trooper off the bus. Winans landed on her back alongside a guard rail at the side of the road.

Baugh posted cellphone video of the incident to YouTube – which shows Taylor throwing punch after punch while she has the officer pinned down outside the bus.

“Oh, she’s beating her [expletive],” another passenger can be heard saying. “What is the police officer doing?”

Eventually two men, the bus driver and one passenger, came to the officer’s rescue and pulled Taylor off.

WBNS claims that Winans suffered bruises and abrasions and was treated, along with Taylor, and released from hospital.

Taylor is currently free on bond but is facing felony charges for assaulting an officer.
