HALIFAX- Halifax Transit wants your input after releasing a draft of their Moving Forward Together Plan Tuesday. The plan includes a purposed redesign of the transit network, aiming at making it smarter and more efficient.

“We’re embarking on an unprecedented overhaul to our transit system,” said Eddie Robar, Director of Halifax Transit. “I encourage everyone, whether they currently ride a bus or ferry or even if they don’t, to have a look at this new plan, tell us what they think, and help us make transit better.”

The plan focuses on making it easier for Halifax Transit users to get around by investing in popular routes, offering faster commutes during rush hour as well as making transfers easier to use.

The redesign plan came after a series of public consultations that took place over several months in 2013. It includes the input of community groups, Regional Council and thousands of residents.
