Two charged with marijuana production in Strasbourg, Sask.

STRASBOURG, Sask. – A man and woman are facing drug charges after a search warrant was executed on Friday in Strasbourg, Sask. At around 5:30 p.m., police members entered 109 Downey Street and arrested four people.

Darren and Cinnamon Myers, both 45, have been charged with production of marijuana and cannabis resin. Darren Myers is also charged with unsafe storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and unsafe storage of ammunition.

Both are scheduled to appear in court in Southey, Sask. on March 11.

The other two people initially arrested were released without being charged.

Mounties conducted the investigation along with members from Yorkton police dog services and the RCMP’s integrated organized crime south section.
