Riders ink Weston Dressler to a four-year contract extension

REGINA – The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced Friday they have re-signed all-star receiver Weston Dressler to a four-year contract extension.

Dressler has spent the bulk of his seven-year career with the Riders after entering the CFL in 2008.

After a brief stint in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs Dressler re-signed with the Riders in 2014.

Last season Dressler played in nine regular season games, snagging 27 catches for 320 yards and a touchdown.

The Bismarck, North Dakota native has had five 1,000 yard receiving seasons with the Riders and has been named a west division all-star four times and a CFL all-star twice in his career.

Dressler won the Grey Cup with the Riders in 2013.
