Stovin scores 3 times as Blades extend win streak

SASKATOON – Brett Stovin scored three times and set up one more as the Saskatoon Blades extended their win streak to four games by downing the Moose Jaw Warriors 6-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play. Nick Zajac and Ryan Graham each had a goal and two assists for the Blades (13-29-3) while Amil Krupic added a goal an assist. Brock Hamm stopped 31 shots in the win.

Axel Blomqvist scored for the Warriors (20-25-4) as Brody Willms made 26 saves in defeat.

Saskatoon went 3 for 5 on the power play while Moose Jaw failed to convert on three chances with the man advantage.

The Blades host the Prince Albert Raiders at 2 p.m. Sunday.
