COQUITLAM – Two hikers are recovering this morning after getting lost while walking near Buntzen Lake.
The Coquitlam search and rescue crew was called to the area after the pair failed to return back from a day hike.
The hikers managed to send out some text messages, which helped crews determine the men got lost while climbing up the Oliver London trail.
Despite spending a significant amount of time in the cold, both hikers are expected to be okay.
Search crews are reminding the public to make sure they have all of the necessary hiking equipment before heading out into the wilderness.
