Ontario man identified as Strathcona County homicide victim

EDMONTON — The man who was found dead in Strathcona County in late December has been identified.

RCMP say 30-year-old Adrian Gregory, who lives in the Ottawa-area, was found dead around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 in the industrial area of Sherwood Park.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Baseline Line and Sherwood Park Freeway, near 34 Street, where they found a Jeep on fire.

Gregory was found dead. A second person was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries. Police said both individuals were occupants of the Jeep.

Gregory’s death was later determined to be a homicide, although police have not released the cause of his death.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have had contact with Gregory in the days leading up to his death to contact the Strathcona County RCMP at 780-467-7741. Anyone who was in the area where he was found dead between 11 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29 and 1 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 is also asked to contact RCMP.
