Vancouver Police are warning local drug users after a quantity of drugs were stolen in a pharmacy robbery.

Police say various prescription drugs were stolen from the Peoples Drug Mart on Tuesday night, including a small quantity of fentanyl patches.

Two suspects armed with guns entered the pharmacy on West 57th and Cambie and fled with the drugs just before 6 p.m.

Police say drug users should be aware of the risks posed to people using fentanyl.

“Fentanyl is an unforgiving drug, much more powerful than heroin. It can be lethal, even in small doses,” reads the warning from Vancouver Police.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Vancouver Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
