A 14-year-old girl is dead and a criminal investigation is underway after an accident at the intersection of Finch Avenue and Neilson Road Friday evening.
Toronto police say the girl was trying to cross Neilson Road when she was struck by a TTC bus that was attempting to make a right turn onto Finch Avenue.
The bus struck the girl. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the bus failed to remain at the scene.
Police are questioning the 27-year-old driver of the bus.
The TTC says it is co-operating with police in their investigation and has provided video from the bus’s onboard camera.
