AURORA, Ont. – York Regional Police say they have dismantled an organized crime group after an investigation that also involved RCMP and provincial police in the Greater Toronto Area.

Police say numerous warrants were executed across the GTA, leading to the arrests of members of the Ranieri organized crime group.

There were few other immediate details about the investigation, dubbed Project Forza.

But investigators say the group was considered a threat to public safety.

They say it has been “successfully dismantled.”

The investigation was led by York Regional Police and managed through the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit, involving the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Ontario Provincial Police.
