WINNIPEG – It’s a marathon of music with all proceeds going directly to charity.
Manitoba band The Treble is playing 24 shows in 24 hours starting Thursday 9 p.m.
The acoustic sets will take place all around Winnipeg with stops at various businesses and landmarks.
This isn’t the first time The Treble has done a show like this. The band has raised more than $8,000 in previous shows for The Canadian Red Cross and Winnipeg Harvest.
This year the boys decided to choose a cause close to their hearts, CancerCare Manitoba. Cancer affects nearly every Manitoban in one way or another.
The event kicks off at Barley Brother Stadium and finishes with a full show Friday night at The Good Will Social Club at 8 p.m.
The band will be making a stop at Global Winnipeg at 201 Portage Friday at 8 a.m.
Donations are being collected at each of the 24 locations and all of the money will be donated to CancerCare Manitoba at the end.
A few locations will also be selling food on Dec. 11 and 12 with proceeds going to the cause.
