Firefighters rescue dog from icy water in Brampton

TORONTO – Firefighters saved a dog that was stuck on an icy river Monday afternoon in Brampton.

The dog became stuck on the ice shortly after noon near Creditvew Road and James Potter Road.

Firefighters were able to rescue the freezing dog quickly, wrapping it in a green blanket before pulling it to safety.

It was later attended to by vets and does not appear to be injured.
