WINNIPEG  -While mild temperatures kick off the weekend for many in the province, it may end in a completely different fashion for others.

Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning Saturday afternoon, for several parts of Central Manitoba.  10-20 centimetres of snow could fall by Sunday.

Winds will also be gusty, causing poor visibility on highways and in open areas.

The system will move east out of Manitoba by Monday and at the same time, our temperatures will return to below seasonal. The normal daytime high for this time of year is -4 degrees Celsius.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

In Winnipeg, we can expect a rain/snow mix Saturday evening and with temperatures dipping below zero overnight, roads could be slick. Freezing rain could also be an issue in parts of southern Manitoba overnight Saturday.

With snow, rain, freezing rain, and wind in the forecast it makes for an interesting weekend weather-wise in the province!
