Woman heading to trial after two teens killed in crash

SASKATOON – A woman charged in the deaths of two teenagers after a collision last May is going straight to trial. A date has not yet been set for Cheyann Cheyann Peeteetuce, 21, at the Court of Queen’s Bench in Saskatoon.

Peeteetuce is facing 14 difference charges including impaired driving causing death after the crash on May 5 killed two 17-year-olds on their way to a track and field practice. Another 17-year-old girl, who cannot be named due to her age, is also facing several charges.

The accused were in a stolen truck when it sped into the intersection of Avenue M and 22nd Street West. The suspect vehicle collided with two other vehicles and a business.

Two passengers in a vehicle that was struck, Sarah Wensley and James Haughey, were killed as a result. A third teen was injured in the crash.
