HALIFAX – A driver has been charged after a woman was struck by a vehicle in a Halifax crosswalk Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the 27-year-old woman was crossing in a marked crosswalk around 1:50 p.m. when she was hit by a pickup truck turning left from Cornwallis Street onto Brunswick Street.
The woman was taken to hospital with reported head injuries that police say are non-life-threatening.
The driver, a 45-year-old man, was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
