REGINA – A man suspected of a violent assault is still on the loose in the Queen City.
On Sunday night, Regina Police responded to a street robbery on the 2100 hundred block of Smith St.
A 70-year-old man was threatened with bear spray and violently assaulted near the downtown YMCA.
Police say the suspect made off with the elderly man’s backpack with groceries.
The senior was taken to the general hospital with a broken nose and some facial swelling.
The suspect is described as an Aboriginal male with short hair and around 5’7” tall, if anyone has any information they are asked to call police at 306-777-6500.
