Gopher selfie taken at B.C. park goes viral

A selfie that a B.C. woman took with a little critter at Manning Park is getting a lot of attention around the world.

Manning Park, in the heart of the Cascade Mountains, is a popular outdoor destination that sits south-east of Hope.

Stacey Wallace captured a picture with a gopher that has now been viewed more than one million times.

Wallace says in order to take the selfie she had to lay on the ground and slowly crawl toward the animal when it popped out of its hole.

Twenty-eight-year-old Wallace, who is from Vancouver, says she’s surprised by the huge response.
