Gunshot victim turns up at Peter Lougheed Hospital

Police are investigating after a man turned up at the Peter Lougheed Hospital with a gunshot wound. Global News

Calgary police are investigating after a man showed up at the Peter Lougheed hospital Thursday night with a gunshot wound.

The victim admitted himself around 10:30 p.m. after he was shot in the face.

Investigators say they believe the shooting took place in the 6800 block of 26th Avenue N.E.

The victim is listed in stable, non life-threatening condition. Police are still trying to determine if he managed to make it to hospital himself, or if he was dropped off.

They say they believe the shooting was targeted and that the victim and the shooter knew each other.

So far no arrests have been made.
