Edmonton police search for male suspects, female witness in Coliseum transit stabbing

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Police Service has released pictures of two male suspects and a female witness believed to be involved in a stabbing early Friday morning.

The stabbing happened at the Coliseum Transit Centre, near 118 Avenue and 78 Street, around 6:15 a.m.

Witnesses tell police three men got into an altercation at the transit station shortly after getting off the same bus. Police say they do not know what led to the altercation.

“Downtown division patrol members responded to 911 call of an alleged stabbing,” EPS spokesperson Scott Pattison said Friday. “Upon arrival, they found a young male on the ground with stab wounds.”

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he remained in critical condition Saturday.

Police are now searching for two male suspects.

The first is described as a Caucasian man between the ages of 17 and 22. He’s about six-feet-tall with short, dark hair. Police say he was wearing a royal blue hoodie or sweatshirt with the words ‘It’s not you, It’s me!’ written on the front.

The second suspect, police say, is described as an Aboriginal man over the age of 18 with an acne-scared and pocked face.

Police say the female witness appears to be over the age of 18 with black hair.
