An elderly woman has now died after getting hit by a car in Surrey on Oct. 11.

It happened just after 8:30 a.m. on Bear Creek Drive and 140th Street.

Surrey RCMP say the woman was in a marked crosswalk when a car travelling northbound struck her.

It is not clear what led to the incident.

The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating.

Anyone with more information who has not spoken to police is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigations Team (CCIT) at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS.
