MONTREAL – Former Montreal Mayor, Jean Doré, is suffering from pancreatic cancer.
The 69-year-old former civic leader learned of the diagnosis of the practically incurable disease three weeks ago.

He had no warning signs.
In an interview with the Journal de Montreal, he said he accepted “the fact that I’m going to die.”
He said he wants to take advantage of the time he has left to live, with his family and friends.
Doré was mayor of Montreal from 1986 to 1994.
