WINNIPEG – Apparently being a cute kid on YouTube has launched another commercial career.

Noah Ritter, who shot to YouTube fame after he repeatedly (and adorably) used the word “apparently” in a television interview about the Wayne County Fair in Pennsylvania, now stars in a pet food commercial.

“Apparently this is my first ever TV commercial,” Noah, 5, says as the commercial starts.

He touts the virtue of Freshpet dog food talking about a dog who didn’t like his food because “it made his farts stink all day and night.”

“I like dogs better,” he says when discussing dogs and cats, “because they like to lick your feet.”

In a video about the making of the video, Katie Tyson of Freshpet says they were approached about putting Noah in a video and they thought it “would resonate with people.”

Apparently Noah resonates with more than just his online audience, as the crew at the shoot smile and laugh during the antics.

“It’s like a giant sausage about to fall on my head,” Noah says about the boom microphone hanging over him, ignoring the prompter saying his line.

Dogs maul him on set, and apparently it’s for a good reason.

“OK, can someone get the bacon out of my, out of my thing?” he says, pointing towards his feet. “It’s covered with drool.”
