Prince Edward’s itinerary for his visit to Saskatchewan

REGINA – Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex, is making a stop in the Land of the Living Skies in the middle of September.

On Wednesday, Premier Brad Wall announced some events where the public can get a chance to see Prince Edward.

“A visit by a member of our Canadian Royal Family is truly a unique event and a chance for Saskatchewan people to learn more about our shared history and our constitutional monarchy,” Wall said.

“I encourage everyone to take advantage of these opportunities. Let’s all do our part to give a warm Saskatchewan welcome to His Royal Highness.”

Public opportunities are:

  • Wednesday, September 17 at 6 p.m. : The public is encouraged to welcome His Royal Highness to the province in Moose Jaw, outside the Saskatchewan Dragoons Headquarters at 1215 Main Street North.
  • Thursday, September 18 at 3:05 p.m. : Residents of the provincial capital can greet His Royal Highness during his walkabout outside Government House at 4607 Dewdney Avenue in Regina.
  • Friday September 19 at 9:45 a.m. : Saskatoon residents can show their hospitality to His Royal Highness near the Saskatoon Farmers’ Market, along Avenue A South near River Landing.
  • Friday, September 19 at 2 p.m. : The Swift Current community can bid farewell to His Royal Highness during his final stop, a walkabout outside the new All Saints Catholic Elementary School and École Centennial School in Swift Current at 2220 Woodrow Lloyd Place.

This will be Prince Edward’s 37th visit to Canada and his fifth visit to Saskatchewan.
