The service is expected to roll out to all 17 stations on the lower loop, as well as Spadina, by the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games.

The TTC entered into an agreement with BAI Canada Inc. on Dec. 5, 2012 to build the network for $25 million.

Underground cell phone service is still unavailable as the company contracted to install the wireless system has yet to bring a telecommunications carrier on board.
