WATCH: Dancing Buckingham Palace guard now under investigation

A Grenadier Guard who appeared to put on a show for tourists may be in hot water with the British Army after he was videotaped pirouetting and strutting while on duty outside Buckingham Palace.

In the video, the soldier can be seen performing spins and comic gestures while on duty outside the Queen’s London residence. The performance amused a group of tourists who can be heard laughing in the video.

According to several British media reports the army is now investigating the video and the actions of the guard.

An army spokesperson told the Guardian: “We are aware of the video. Anyone who is found to fall short of the army’s high standards can expect to face appropriate action.”

Grenadier Guards is an infantry regiment of the British Army, and is the most senior regiment of the Guards Division.
