WATCH- Deer gets freed from fence by Alberta Fish and Wildlife
CALGARY- A deer trapped in a backyard fence was found early Sunday morning in Evercreek Bluffs, in southwest Calgary.
Eric Herscovici, a resident, found the deer trapped in the the fence while he was walking his dog.
“Every now and then the deer come here from Fish Creek Park,” Herscovici said.
The mother of the fawn was also in the neighbourhood at the time it was found in distress.
An Alberta Fish and Wildlife officer helped free the deer from the fence. The deer got up and walked limping, then left with its mother.
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Justice said they spoke with someone from Alberta Fish and Wildlife who said the deer is expected to be fine.
