OTTAWA – Prime Minister Harper Harper discussed preparations for next week’s NATO summit and other issues during a telephone call today with U.S President Barack Obama
A statement from Harper’s office says the main focus of the call was the NATO summit in Wales, where leaders will discuss, among other things, the situation in Ukraine.
Harper and Obama also discussed the situation in Iraq, including Canadian assistance that is being provided.
A statement from the White House says the two leaders agreed on the importance of ensuring alliance unity on measures to strengthen NATO’s readiness and responsiveness to the full range of current and future threats.
