Mayor Rob Ford caught dancing in council again

TORONTO – Mayor Rob Ford danced through the aisles of council chambers Thursday during what may be his last city council meeting as mayor.

The music started a few minutes before councillors broke for lunch – with over 40 items left on the agenda –with a reggae rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

The mayor was the first person out of his seat to dance, joining councillors waving their arms during the bridge of the song.

Then the mayor stood up, buttoned up his jacket and danced by himself.

This isn’t the first time the mayor has been caught dancing in council chambers: A video of the mayor dancing in December, a month after councillors stripped many of his powers, made headlines worldwide.
