Myrtle Beach Pelicans manager Joe Mikulik has had his share of run-ins with umpires during his managerial career in minor league baseball.
But, his performance on Sunday during a game against the Salem Red Sox may be his best one yet.
During the fifth inning, Mikulik went out to argue a call by umpire Adam Beck.
The argument quickly escalated and Mikulik got the heave-ho from Beck. That’s when the fun started.
Mikulik walked up the third base line and recreates the slide into home plate of the player that was called out, not once, but twice.
And, the irate manager didn’t stop there.
Mikulik then stood on home plate and started to undress. First, come the shoes and then the jersey.
Mikulik walked off the field, leaving pitching coach Steve Mintz to pick up his gear.
Way to go Joe!
