ABOVE: Lightning strike victims arrive at hospital
TORONTO- Four people were struck by lightning at Scarborough’s Morningside Park on Monday.
It took place just after 3 p.m. near Morningside Ave. and Kingston Rd.
All four victims were transported to hospital with what emergency crews describe as “non-life threatening injuries.”

Toronto EMS says an ambulance was struck by lightning while responding to the call. Nobody was injured by the strike but it took out the vehicles electrical system, forcing them to call for an additional ambulance to transport victims.
EMS responders were treating patients at the time and no one was in the vehicle.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Toronto and parts of the surrounding GTA.
They ask that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
