WINNIPEG – The death of a 21-month-old girl from Peguis First Nation last week in Manitoba was a homicide, RCMP believe.
The girl was brought from Peguis First Nation to nearby Percy E. Moore Hospital in Hodgson, Man., at about 3 p.m. on July 17, police say.

She died of her injuries that evening.
Peguis RCMP and the RCMP major crimes unit are investigating.
The girl’s name is not being released and the RCMP aren’t releasing further details at this time.
