TORONTO – Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the movies…

Sharknado is back. Fans of last summer’s wonderfully terrible surprise hit are counting down the days (only 15 to go!) until the sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One, hits the airways.

But fear not, the next two weeks don’t have to be void of shark cinema.

Below you’ll find some of the best shark movie trailers of all time. Watch them all and vote for the best in our poll!

Jaws (1975)

Let’s get the most obvious choice out of the way first, shall we? While the trailer doesn’t necessary capture the thrill of Steven Spielberg’s 1975 summer blockbuster, the movie itself has stood the test of time and has permeated pop culture in the years that followed.

Open Water (2003)

A horror film loosely based on the true story of a couple who were left behind in the water on a scuba trip to the Great Barrier Reef.

The movie cost $130,000 to make and pulled in $55 million worldwide.

Sharknado (2013)

Ian Ziering’s triumphant return. It’s the shark-tornado movie that completely changed the way we think of shark-tornado movies.

Sharknado 2: The Second One (2014)

Holy shark. Sharknado is back. But will the sequel top the first?

Avalanche Sharks (2013)

Directed by Scott Wheeler, Avalanche Sharks tells the horrifying story of a mystical creature that ravages a bikini contest set on a mountain, leaving a path of bloody snowboarders and skiers in its wake. This might just be the shark movie trailer to end all shark movie trailers.

Shark Tale (2004)

A delightful romp about two buddies and one “great white lie.” Will Smith, Jack Black, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese provide the voices for the DreamWorks animated comedy.

The Last Shark (1981)

Playing off the success of JawsL’ultimo squalo, tells a similar story of a great white shark terrorizing beach-goers. Many, however, consider The Last Shark to be better than any of the Jaws sequels.

Shark Night 3D (2011)

College kids, bathing suits, fiery explosions…and sharks – all in mind-blowing 3D.

Vote in our poll for the best shark movie trailer of all time!
