“We got a call from metro police services saying there have been a break-in at the go kart track,” Go-Karts co-owner Bob Clark told Global News.
“They had chased a number of young fellows on go karts on Queens Quay.”
Police say they were able to recover the vehicles but the thieves escaped.
“The good news is it’ll force us to update our security,” said Clark. “We do have cameras so we can hopefully get some pictures of what exactly happened.”
Clark told Global News the thieves also left their bicycles at the racetrack.
There’s no word yet on any suspect descriptions.
