Calgary company fined for safety violations following workers death

A Calgary energy company has been fined for safety violations following the death of a worker in Saskatchewan.

REGINA – A Calgary energy company has been fined for safety violations following the death of a worker in Saskatchewan.

Petrobakken Energy Limited has pleaded guilty to two offences under occupational health and safety legislation.

The employee died in 2009 after a service rig collapsed near the village of Kisbey.

A Regina judge ordered the company to pay 28-thousand dollars.
