Geography

This urban-rural riding includes the city of Sarnia, along with a large portion of Lambton County, stretching as far south as Walpole Island and as far east to include the towns of Wyoming and Petrolia.

History

Progressive Conservative MPP Bob Bailey was first elected in 2007 and easily reelected in 2011, defeating NDP candidate Brian White by over 9,000 votes. The riding was held by Liberal Caroline Di Cocco from 1999 to 2007.

By the numbers

Sixty-five per cent of people lived at the same address between 2006 and 2011, the eighth largest number in southern Ontario. English is the first language of 89% of people, 11th most in southern Ontario.
