Coderre accepts New York City mayor’s hockey bet
MONTREAL – Soon after the news that Habs goaltender Carey Price will not finish the Eastern Conference Finals series, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio had this to say to Montreal mayor Denis Coderre over Twitter:
To which Coderre responded “how interesting that the mayor of New York proposed this after the Rangers’ victory and Carey’s injury…I’ll think about it ;)”
But he’s still convinced the Habs can win…
And then Coderre wrote this:
It looks like the bet is on between Montreal and New York!
With Price out for the rest of the series and Game two of the Eastern Conference Finals set for Monday night at the Bell Centre, Habs fans seem anxious – but optimistic – to see how their team will fair against the Rangers.
