Geography

The riding of Oakville stretches from Winston Churchill Boulevard in the east to Burloak Drive in the west and everything south of Upper Middle Road.

History

Liberal Kevin Flynn has held this riding since 2003 and won by margins ranging from 3,500 to 7,000 votes. Prior to that, Gary Carr held the riding for the PCs from 1990 to 2003. The PCs tend to do best in the areas closest to Lake Ontario.

By the numbers

Average reported household income in the 2011 census was $105,658, the second highest in the province. The median age of 41.9 is second highest in the 905 region.
