Prince William, Kate play cricket in New Zealand

Prince William and his wife Catherine arrived in Christchurch on Monday as they continued their tour of New Zealand.

The couple flew in from Queenstown and met with families of the 185 people killed in the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.

The couple took a short tour of the Transitional Cathedral, designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban and constructed largely out of cardboard.

It is the temporary cathedral after the original one was badly damaged in the earthquake.

Afterwards, the royal couple met well-wishers, including five mothers of twins.

Many people gave Catherine and William gifts for their baby son Prince George.

They also met the organizers of the 2015 Cricket World Cup which will be held in New Zealand, and played a bit of cricket.
