KELOWNA — RCMP say they’ve taken one more gangster off the streets of Kelowna.

A 42-year-old Kelowna man has been sentenced to four years in prison on gun related charges.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Vincent Lewis Timpany pled guilty to charges stemming from a December 2013 raid at his Yates Road home in December 2013 when police seized two handguns, a 12-gauge shotgun and three over-capacity magazines.

Police say Timpany has a long criminal record dating back to the ’90s and is an associate of the Independent Soldiers gang.

Timpany was banned from owning guns at the time of his arrest.
