TORONTO — FIFA announced Friday it has chosen “Dar um Jeito (We Will Find A Way)” as the official anthem of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The track, featuring Carlos Santana, Wyclef Jean, Avicii and Alexandre Pires, will be released in late April.

It will also be performed at the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Rio de Janeiro on July 13.

Grammy winner Ash Pournouri co-produced “Dar um Jeito (We Will Find A Way).”

“In Portuguese ‘Dar Um Jeito’ means to find a way around obstacles and impossibilities. With this track, we wanted to send a message of optimism and opportunity with the music and the words,” Pournouri explained in a release.

“We wanted to create the biggest track in the world for the biggest event in the world.”

Added Avicii: “To write for the official closing anthem of the FIFA World Cup is a huge honour as it’s the biggest event I can remember growing up. I gave it a ‘Samba meets my dance music’ sound which works perfectly for the positive spirit of the song.”

The official anthem is not to be confused with the official song of the massive soccer tournament, which is “We Are One (Ole Ola)” by Pitbull with Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte. It will be performed June 12 at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup.
