This week’s deadly mudslide in Washington state has brought back memories for B.C. residents, who less than two years ago experienced a similar, but smaller, disaster.
Global National’s Francis Silvaggio and his crew were reporting from the scene of an incredible landslide at Johnsons Landing, B.C. on July 13, 2012 when they caught caught another slide on camera.

Mud, trees and other debris began rushing towards the spot the Global News crew had just been working at moments earlier, shooting the devastating landslide that destroyed three homes in the area, killing four people just one day earlier.
Saturday’s mudslide in Washington’s Snohomish County has left at least 24 people dead. Dozens more remain unaccounted for.
