WATCH: Australian boy throws tantrum over foul ball

For most young baseball fans, catching a foul ball is the highlight of going to a game.

So imagine the feeling of watching a foul ball land just short of your seat – and then watching security hand said ball to another fan.

That was the situation for one boy at a game in Australia Thursday, which saw the MLB’s Los Angeles Dodgers take on a team of Australian all-stars at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

During the game, an Australian outfielder tosses a foul ball to the young fan, who judging from his waving hands and jumping in place, was more than a little excited to receive his piece of baseball memorabilia.

Just one problem: the ball doesn’t quite make it to the young fan, bouncing off the guard rail instead.

A security guard walks out to retrieve the foul ball – only to then hand it off to another fan, even as the young boy shouts “Me! Me!” at the guard and holds out his hands.

This bit of baseball injustice is more than the boy can take, and he begins sobbing uncontrollably. Luckily, the fan who was the recipient of the mistaken ball quickly tosses it back to the young fan, and all is right in the world once again.

The Dodgers would go on to defeat Team Australia 4-2.
