Authorities are investigating a fire that tore through a home being renovated in West Vancouver last night.
Fire crews arrived at the 2500 block of Ottawa Avenue just after 11 p.m. and quickly called for more help due to the size of the blaze. Roughly a dozen fire engines from both North and West Vancouver helped fight the fire.

Windy conditions threatened the neighbouring properties and fire crews had the two houses on either side of the burning home evacuated.
One firefighter was hurt and taken to hospital with a torn achillies tendon.
The West Vancouver home was heavily damaged in the incident and fire crews are saying it’s too soon to tell if foul play is suspected.
Crews say excavation should begin Tuesday or Wednesday after the investigation has concluded.
