NAPAN, N.B. – A 43-year-old man has died after a snowmobile crash in New Brunswick.

The RCMP responded to the crash shortly before 1 p.m. Monday in Napan along a snowmobile trail near the intersection of the South Napan Road and White Bridge Lane.

Police say their preliminary investigation indicates the crash occurred when the snowmobile missed a turn and struck a power pole guide wire.

The Mounties say the driver, from Black River, N.B., was the only person aboard the snowmobile.

They are still investigating.
