Bars in B.C. have been told they can stay open, or open early for this weekend’s Olympic men’s bronze and gold medal hockey games.
On Saturday, bars will be allowed to open at 6 a.m. for the bronze medal game, which begins one hour later at 7 a.m.
On Sunday, pubs and bars can extend their hours for the gold medal game, which begins at 4 a.m.
But no liquor will be served until 9 a.m., and only at establishments where licences permit it. The Liquor Control Board said it has received 60 requests to open for both the bronze and gold medal game.
So far, it appears there are quite a few establishments around B.C. opening early, or staying open late, for the gold medal game on Sunday, which is between Canada and Sweden.

Alpenhorn Bistro & Bar in Smithers say they will be open bright and early.
The Frog & Nightgown pub in Coquitlam will be open at 3:30 a.m.
Cat & Fiddle Pub in Port Coquitlam.

Major League 2 in Chilliwack.
Corkys in Chilliwack will open at 4 a.m.
Bob’s Bar n’ Grill in downtown Aldergrove.
Library Square Pub in Vancouver will be open:
The Pint on Abbott Street in Vancouver will be open.
The G Sports Bar on Granville Street in Vancouver:
Sin Bin Sports Grill on West 2nd Street in Vancouver will be open:
Edgewater Casino in Vancouver will play the game on the big screen.
The Hog Shack in Richmond:
The Loghouse Pub in Victoria will be opening at 3:30 a.m.
In Nanaimo, the Simon Holt Restaurant and Lounge will be open.
Finley’s Irish Bar and Grill in Nelson will be open.
Mike’s Pub in Nelson will be open.
You can also watch the game at the SFU Dining Hall in Burnaby.
The Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby will be playing the game near the Centro Bar area.
Wings in Burnaby will be open at 4 a.m.
Ocean Park Pizza and Village Pub in South Surrey will be open at 3:30 a.m.
